Excellent walleye fishing during the on Green Bay existed in many places, as water temperatures begin to climb, and hungry post spawn walleyes begin to migrate from spawning areas. In the lower bay, a good bite exists at the rivermouth, in Deadhorse Bay, and University Bay. Trolled crankbaits, hair jigs, jig/minnow, jig/crawler, and blade baits all took fish in my boat. As we work north, the areas of Sturgeon Bay and Oconto also have a good bite going. Working shoreline areas and finding warmer water led to better catches. Same techniques as the lower bay apply. If you get out, make sure to take a kid fishing, and be safe!
