Green Bay fishing continued to be a mixed bag, with lots of success for perch fisherman while walleye fishing continues to be slow. Perch are active around University Bay, Bayshore, Geanos reef, Oconto, Sturgeon Bay and the shipping channel in Green Bay. Minnows continue to take the most fish. The best walleye bite has been in the Fox River, with anglers getting fish on crankbaits and hair jigs. A few walleyes are still being caught in University Bay, Volks reef, Vincent Point, Oconto shoal, and around Sturgeon Bay. Muskie fishermen are having success near the shipping channel in Green Bay, trolling and casting large crankbaits. University Bay has also put out a few fish. Smallmouth bass anglers are still finding fish before they head for their deep winter hangouts. Fox River has underrated smallmouth water, with fish being caught throwing hair jigs and tubes around rock rubble areas.
As always, if you go please be safe on the water, and take a kid fishing.
