Fishing on the lower bay has been hit and miss the last week. We had strong NE winds that sent the fish deep causing them not to eat. Perch and walleyes are still being caught on both the east and west shores. Perch fishermen are using custom rigs tipping them with minnows or crawlers. Walleyes are being caught trolling and rip jiggn. Muskies are still being caught on the west shore and frying pan shoal. Water temps have been in the high 60tys causing the fish to stay in the bay instead of the Fox River. As the bay water temps drop the fish will start to migrate into the Fox River that should start very soon. The walleye bite in the Fox River has slowed down because they have the flood gates closed by the dam so the current is very weak and water levels are down.
