Walleye fishing on the Fox River and Green Bay remain good, with a large population of 15-18” male walleyes working their way out of the Fox and towards Green Bay. Jigging with minnows, soft plastics, rippin wraps, and hair jigs he’s taking the most fish, while trolling the flats below the 172 bridge is also taking walleyes. Up by the dam, white bass, drama, and catfish are dominating the catch. On Green Bay, post spawn female walleyes are moving into their typical locations. University bay, dead horse bay, Suamico, frying pan, and Vokes reef are the popular areas for these big fish. If you go, be safe, and take a kid fishing!

Fishing on Green Bay has started, with an open water bite to the north by Oconto, Peshtigo, and Marinette. The rivers in each town are loading up with prespawnWalleyes, and Post spawn walleyes are starting to return to the bed. Water temps in the river are pushing 50, making this a quick spawning run. Jigging and casting crankbaits has been the best approach. On the main bay, the bite remains good with ripping wraps and hair jigs taking the most fish. If you get a chance to go, Make sure you take a kid fishing. Be safe!

Fishing has been good to excellent on the Fox River, as we are starting to see both prespawn and post spawn female walleyes. Jigging, casting rippin raps, blade baits, and dragging plastics have all taken good fish. Friday we had over 40 fish bigger than 20”, with many mature female walleyes boated. Water temps were 43-45 on Thursday, but by early Sunday had dropped to 37-38 degrees. The next 2-3 weeks should have continued great fishing on the Fox River.
