If you are in search of Walleye on Green Bay your best bet is to try some shallow shorelines early in the
morning or evening. Try trolling areas from Point Comfort up to Dykesville or along the University Bay
shorelines from the Eagles Nest to Bay Beach. There have been a few reports of some Walleye being
caught jigging Shiver Minnows around Geano’s Reef.
Walleye activity in the Fox River remains slow but some fish have been caught up at the DePere Dam in
the morning and evening casting crank baits like Flicker Shads and Hit Sticks. A few fish have been
caught casting jig and crawler or hair jigs around the channel edges out from Voyager Park.
Perch anglers are continuing to have success along the shipping channel from the entrance light to Long
Tail. It is key to use your electronics to locate scattered schools and then anchor. Minnows have been
more productive than crawlers. Drop shotting with double and single Perch Fly rigs like the ones from
Fishing Addiction Grear have been killer. Check out Smokeys on the Bay to get your left handed minnows and rigs!!
Musky fishermen are reporting slow action both casting and trolling Most are working the water from
Metro landing along the shipping channel out to Long Tail. Also Frying Pan Shoal and most areas of
University Bay have been giving up a few nice fish trolling. Many anglers are also trolling up the Fox and
a few fish have shown themselves up on the 172 flats. Tyrant Raz Shads and Blue Water KO Shads have been working the best for troller, casting rubber and bucktails are also catching fish around structure.
